We are thrilled to introduce Azulerde, sustainable design from Recife -PE, northeast of Brazil. Azulerde emerged in 2015 as a theory but was only in 2017 it took a shape. Karla Batista, the designer, is an extraordinary black woman pernambucana (means people from Pernambuco), she idealised a project that could be an environment for the exchange of ideas and creative processes.
Art and Upcycling
Azulerde consisting of two aspects: Inspirations in plastic arts for urban resignifications. Thus, we aim to reconnect artistic perspectives in contemporary times, and through production, which is mostly made from the reuse of solid waste (upcycling) collected in Recife - PE
